Standing in front of my mural is the Director of The Philadelphia Mural Arts Program Jane Golden. ( http://www.muralart.org/) This picture is from The Philadelphia Inquirer's front page 5.27.08. The mural is located on 43rd and Lancaster Avenue, Philadelphia and tells the story of Alex Scott, known for her struggle to fight cancer and creating a nation wide orginization for pediatric cancer research. I've spent the last 3 weeks back on the east coast attending the Abbey Mural Fellowship workshop at the National Academy of Art in New York. On the weekends, I have been in Philadelphia finishing the installation of the Alex Scott tribute mural. The mural was started in in 2006, 2 years later the project has just been completed! The past year has been spent adding the top 5'-6' roof extensions on the right half of the wall. With the roof extensions in place, and the original design has finally been realized.
